Weekly Update from Principal Potis

Husky Families,

We were so excited to welcome our 5th graders back from their time at NatureBridge today! They came home full of stories, new friendships, and memories from three days of learning and exploring in the great outdoors. A huge thank you to our amazing Crownhill PTA for helping make this experience possible for our students. Our PTA even received a well-deserved shoutout at last night’s Bremerton School Board meeting for their support of camp. What a great example of our community coming together for kids!

As always, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Take care,

Carre Potis

Crownhill Principal

Crownhill SEL Family Night

SEL Family Night at Crownhill Elementary is an interactive evening where students and their families engage in activities focused on social-emotional learning. The event promotes skills like self-awareness, empathy, and positive communication through games, discussions, and hands-on stations—encouraging families to practice and support SEL both at school and at home.

October Trait of the Month: Responsibility

In October, our focus is on Responsibility! Responsibility means taking action and understanding the impact of our choices. Students are learning that being responsible can take many forms—turning in work on time, caring for a pet, being kind to a new classmate, or standing up for what’s right. Throughout October, we’ll highlight and celebrate responsible choices as we help students build habits that lead to positive outcomes both in and out of school.
