Weekly Update from Principal Potis

Husky Families,

We had a break from the rain this week and got to enjoy lots of sunny, albeit cold, time outside. House Sollevare and House Altruismo finished up their food drive. Because of your generosity, we were able to donate 297 items to Bremerton Foodline. Thank you so much for partnering with us on this and for giving our student house leaders the opportunity to authentically lead.

Our highlight this week came today as we celebrated our beloved Emily Bach's 50th birthday. As you all know, she is the heartbeat of Crownhill and we are so lucky to have her. She was showered with "Happy Birthdays" from her favorite Huskies all day long. Please join us in celebrating 50 years of Emily!

As always, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Take care,

Carre Potis

November Trait of the Month: Gratitude

We are looking forward to focusing on Gratitude in November! One way to think about Gratitude is “choosing to appreciate the people and things in our lives.” Practicing Gratitude can increase our well-being and our happiness.

Native American and Alaska Native Heritage Month

November is Native American and Alaska Native Heritage Month. The month is a time to celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories and to acknowledge the important contributions of Native people. Native American Heritage Month is also an opportune time to educate the general public about tribes, to raise a general awareness about the unique challenges Native people have faced both historically and in the present, and the ways in which tribal citizens have worked to conquer these challenges.
