Weekly Update from Principal Potis
Husky Families,
This week we conducted an unannounced fire drill using our alarm system. We know that when the alarm goes off unexpectedly, it can feel a little startling or even scary for some students. We do our best to balance that feeling with the importance of being prepared, while supporting students in staying calm and knowing exactly what to do. I’m incredibly proud of how our students and staff responded. Everyone followed procedures just as they should by moving quickly, staying calm, and taking care of one another. It was a strong reminder of how prepared our school community is.
Next week brings a couple of fun events for Crownhill! Our PTA is hosting a Family Paint Night. This is an opportunity to get creative together and enjoy time as a school community. We also have Spring Picture Day on Thursday, so this is a friendly reminder to plan ahead. We’re looking forward to a great week!
As always, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Take care,
Carre Potis Crownhill Principal

April Trait of the Month: Courage
We are excited to focus on Courage this month! One way to think about Courage is “choosing what is helpful, right, and kind even when it is hard or scary.” Courage is 1 of 3 traits we will focus on throughout the year that helps students Be Strong. Throughout the school, students will be developing skills like focusing, organizing, and goal-setting.
