Weekly Update from Principal Potis
Husky Families,
Next week, we are excited to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week and recognize our incredible certificated staff! Our teachers, school counselor, psychologists, speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, literacy specialist, multilingual learner teacher, and physical education, music, and special education staff work tirelessly each day to create engaging classrooms, support the whole child, and build strong relationships with students and families. From sparking a love of learning to meeting individual needs with care and expertise, their impact is felt in every corner of Crownhill. We are grateful for this amazing team and all they do for our students every single day!
Next week, we also kick off state testing with our third graders taking the Math SBA. This is an important opportunity for students to show what they know and demonstrate their learning and growth this year. We are proud of the preparation and effort they’ve put in throughout the year, and we know they will do their best work. As always, the most important thing families can do is help students come to school well-rested, on time, and ready to try their best. We appreciate your partnership in supporting our students through this process and helping them feel confident and prepared.
As always, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Take care,
Carre Potis Crownhill Principal

May Trait of the Month: Creativity
Get ready for some fun as we focus on Creativity this month! One way to think about Creativity is “using your imagination to create something new or solve a problem.” Opportunities to be Creative are all around us! Creativity is 1 of 3 traits we will focus on throughout the year that helps students Be Well. Throughout the school, students will be developing skills like emotion regulation, positive self-talk, and stress-management.
