Weekly Update from Principal Potis
Husky Families,
Welcome back, Crownhill families! We hope you’ve had a wonderful summer and are enjoying these final weeks of break. We are so excited to welcome our Huskies back to school on Monday, August 31!
We can’t wait to see our returning Huskies and hear all about their summer adventures. We are also looking forward to welcoming all of our new Huskies and helping you feel right at home in our Crownhill community.
A new school year brings new friendships, new learning and plenty of opportunities to grow together. Our staff has been working hard to prepare for a wonderful year and we are excited for all that is ahead. Most of all, we are grateful to partner with you as we help every student feel safe, supported, known and ready to learn.
Enjoy these last days of summer, get some rest and soak up the sunshine. We’ll see you soon, Huskies! We can’t wait to have our halls filled with your smiles, laughter and energy again!

Bremerton SEL Screening
Bremerton School District is committed to supporting every student's social, emotional, and behavioral well-being. SEL screening provides school staff with valuable information about how students are feeling, interacting with others, and engaging at school.
The results help schools better understand student needs at both the individual and school-wide levels. This information is used to create supportive learning environments, identify students who may benefit from additional support, and guide school-wide planning to help all students succeed.
Families who do not want their child to participate in the SEL screening may opt out by contacting their child's homeroom teacher or school counselor before September 7, 2026. The teacher or counselor will explain the opt-out process and ensure the student is not included in the screening.
