What a wonderful first week at Crownhill! Our Huskies have jumped right into new routines, classrooms, friendships and learning, and we are so proud of the way they have settled in. The first week of school is always full of excitement, adjustments, and a few “where do I go?” moments, and our students and staff have handled it all with flexibility and grace. Thank you to our families for your patience and support as we get into our routines.

A quick reminder about drop off and pickup: We know there is quite a bit of traffic and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to keep things moving safely and efficiently. Please do not park in the pickup line, and when dropping off or picking up, pull all the way forward to help us make room for as many cars as possible. Students should always enter and exit vehicles from the curb side. There are adults outside to help our littles Huskies get in and out of the car if they need help. We are also working on a short demonstration video to help show what the process should look like, so stay tuned! Thank you for your patience, partnership, and support as we establish our routines.

Hi Crownhill Families,

We hope you enjoyed our Back to School BBQ and have had a successful first week of school. The PTA Board has already been planning for an exciting year and we’re inviting YOU to be a part of it! Our first PTA meeting is Tuesday, September 8th at 5:00pm in the Crownhill Library. Everyone is welcome! Please consider joining the PTA this year. There are no required volunteer hours, but strong membership numbers help us stay a healthy, thriving organization. Click on this link to sign up online! 

Hopefully you’ve also seen a flyer for the Popcorn Passes…our first Popcorn Friday is next week. Bags are $0.50 and money is due on Thursday or you can prepay for the entire year on our website.

Finally, we host one big fundraiser every year and it’s coming up soon! We’re bringing the Apex Leadership Co. back to Crownhill for a second year. Get ready for a two-week whirlwind of fun, leadership, and learning! Two amazing professionals spend 10 days in Crownhill sharing their expertise, playing games, and connecting with students. And the excitement doesn’t stop there—it all wraps up with a Fun Run on Friday, September 25th! Information will be sent home with students on Tuesday, September 15th.

Bremerton School District is committed to supporting every student's social, emotional, and behavioral well-being. SEL screening provides school staff with valuable information about how students are feeling, interacting with others, and engaging at school.

The results help schools better understand student needs at both the individual and school-wide levels. This information is used to create supportive learning environments, identify students who may benefit from additional support, and guide school-wide planning to help all students succeed.

Families who do not want their child to participate in the SEL screening may opt out by contacting their child's homeroom teacher or school counselor before September 7, 2026. The teacher or counselor will explain the opt-out process and ensure the student is not included in the screening.
