Weekly Update from Principal Potis
Husky Families,
This week, Crownhill participated in the Great ShakeOut! Our Huskies practiced our earthquake safety procedures and reviewed what to do to stay safe in the event of an earthquake. Practicing these routines helps students feel more confident and prepared in an emergency. A big thank-you to our staff and students for taking the practice seriously and helping keep our school community safe!
Today was a special day at Crownhill as our kindergarteners were officially sorted into their houses! Thank you to all the families who came out to celebrate and cheer on our newest Huskies. Your excitement made the day even more memorable! A HUGE thank-you to our amazing PTA for creating the sweetest goodie bags (pictured below) for every kindergartener. They HANDMADE wristlet keychains and beaded bracelets, included Play-Doh, and even came back after school to help assemble all the bags. That is some serious Husky love! PTA also purchased new soccer equipment for recess, and it has already been a HUGE hit with our students. We are so grateful for a community that continually finds ways to make Crownhill special. We also want to give a big shout-out to Tim Wells, a Crownhill dad who stepped up to attend camp with our fifth graders and was named Camp MVP! Thank you, Tim, for showing up for our kids in such a big way. And finally, thank you to Alexis Kempf who made hats for every camper and chaperone. From handmade gifts to showing up for our students, our Crownhill families continue to remind us what an amazing community we have. We are lucky to be Huskies! ❤️
As always, please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
Take care,
Carre Potis Crownhill Principal
